This 1923 ad presents a combined offer for lots on the
Northwood Tract and the Evergreen Tract. It has therefore been assumed
that both were originally a part of the Garrett farm that was purchased
by the Maloney Lumber Company in 1922.

“Three years ago there were five families residing at Northwood. They were Harvey Proudy, Guy Crouch, Earl Hoosier, Bert Gilbert and Thomas Meeker. Now (1926) there are nearly 50 families living in Northwood on the Maloney brothers’ tract of land. More homes are being built as fast as the weather permits.”
